Eastern Copper :: Copper Usage
Countless years of experience with various Ferro alloy producers has given us a unique edge in terms of design and production of Contact Clamps. A dedicated vendor base of experienced foundries and forging plants has resulted in us delivering top notch quality Contact Clamps to our customers. A slew of design improvement over the years has resulted in a top quality I world class Clamps. This is reflected in the finished products whose design and production process is the finest of its kind. |

Contact Clamp Cast in 85/15 CuZn
This is a time tested model and is the first choice for most conventional smelters. The design offers internal cooling channels for effective circulation of cooling water. Tight control of the production process and meticulous final inspection procedures ensure that the composition of alloy and the physical tolerances of the finished product meet our required standards. "Full compatibility with your furnace is guaranteed". This Contact Clamp has a service life of 2 to 3 years or more in typical FeSi furnace under "normal" operating conditions.

Contact Clamp of pure cast copper
Pure copper is a better electrical and thermal conductor thc 85/15 CuZn. We produce pure cast Contact Clamps in order tc power drops from ohmic re of the clamp and impr, performance of furnace~ demanding operating COI Pure copper is very difficul however, alternative ways of cooling the units havl developed. Copper pipe form loops are cast in~ contact clamp. This prevel caused by imperfections ir copper and extends the li! the clamps. In addition, th is easier to repair. |

Contact Clamp of Forged Electrolytic Copper
In a genuine forging process, a square ingotlbillet of Electrolytic Grade Copper is hammered to approximate thickness before being machined to final shape. Sufficient cooling is obtained through a drilled internal cooling circuit. This is a top quality line of contact clamps. Excellent performance in all respects: outstanding electric conductivity, outstanding thermal conductivity and a mechanical strength and hardness several times that of cast copper. These properties give our genuine Forged Contact Clamps outstanding performance characteristics even at extreme temperatures.

Copper Bustube
Extruded, cold drawn & annealed, Electrolytic Grade Copper Bustube have minimum purity of99.9% & minimum Conductivity of98% IACS. In a vast majority of electric furnaces operating today, Copper Bustubes transfer the electrical power from flexible power cables to electrode heads or contact pads. They are water-cooled and must be properly sized for the job. Due to the length, Copper Bustubes require one or more support structures, attached to the mast arm. |

Copper Transformer Flexible
Flexible Busbars have a twofold utility; firstly they help with tolerance on installation allowing some movement as the Busbar system is installed. The second and primary utility is that the expansion Flexible allows for certain amount of linear expansion and contraction in the Busbar system caused by the thermal cycling as the ambient and operating temperatures rise and fall inside the tank house.
The Flexibles are made up from a number of thin high conductivity Cu- ETP copper strips consolidated into solid mass ends. This, therefore, gives the same current density as solid Busbars with an improved and lower temperature rise than the Busbar due to the increased surface area offered by laminated copper strips in each Flexible.
Copper Busbar
Air-cooled Secondary Busbar is fabricated from cold rolled ETP Copper plate. Electrical conductivity is in excess of 98% IACS. Forming, drilling and finishing function must be precise for this type of equipment to function properly in the secondary circuit.
Cable Lug
Cable Lug is the component with which the cable is crimped and is used for connection and dis-connection in any electrical circuit.Cable Lug can be of Brass 85/15 CuZn or of Forged Copper.
Equaliser/Terminal Plate
Equaliser/Terminal Plate is a connector which holds and connects Copper Bustubes and Cable Lugs. Equaliser/Terminal Plate can be of Brass 85/15 CuZn or of Forged copper.
